Chapter 3
My Idol Is Here
503 words
On recording day, I dressed beautifully.
Ryan’s fan color was pink.
So I wore pink.
A sweet little dress.
Cute.
Elegant.
Fan-girl coded.
When I opened the door to the filming house, Ryan Gu stood inside.
His face was right there.
Right in front of me.
Human language became useless.
My inner scream could irrigate deserts.
My outward expression, however, remained controlled.
“Hello, I’m Lily Li.”
Ryan smiled and offered his hand.
“Hello, I’m Ryan Gu.”
His hand.
Ryan Gu’s hand.
I shook it.
Somewhere, my soul ascended.
The live comments exploded.
“Who is this pretty girl?”
“Ryan let go of her hand!”
“Is she wearing pink? Is she one of us?”
Correct.
Excellent eyes.
Ryan offered to help with my luggage.
I immediately refused.
“No need. Trust me.”
He took the luggage anyway.
The moment he lifted it, his body paused.
Yes.
It was heavy.
I wanted to apologize to my idol, my ancestors, and gravity.
Before I could recover, my phone rang.
Gavin.
“Arrived?” he asked.
“Mm.”
“Met Ryan?”
“Yes! Yes!”
“I wrap tomorrow—”
“Bye. You sound like an old father checking his daughter’s schedule.”
I hung up on my newlywed husband.
Because my idol was present.
Priorities.
Soon after, Vanessa Wang arrived.
Award-winning actress.
Elegant.
Beautiful.
She saw Ryan and whispered to me,
“I’m his fan.”
My eyes widened.
“I’m his fan too!”
We grabbed each other’s hands.
Sisters.
Family.
The live comments went insane.
“Two beauties are Ryan fans!”
“Ryan fans are all beauties!”
Ryan poked his head down from upstairs.
“What’s happening?”
Vanessa and I froze.
The comments became pure screaming.
Then Sabrina arrived.
My mood dropped.
I texted my brother:
Why is Sabrina here?
He replied:
This is a drama promotion variety show. You’re a newcomer. How else would you get this spot?
Damn.
He made sense.
I forgot to tell him Sabrina’s crimes.
I endured.
The production team suggested video-calling Gavin, the missing regular member.
Sabrina smiled shyly.
“Who has Gavin’s contact?”
Vanessa looked shocked.
“You don’t?”
Sabrina shook her head, fake shy.
The comments began shipping her with Gavin again.
“Modern married couple without each other’s messaging app, hahaha.”
“New wife is so shy!”
I clenched my fist silently.
I had his contact.
His number.
His marriage certificate.
But I was on livestream.
Then Ryan raised his hand.
“I do.”
Silence.
Live comments exploded.
Ryan had Gavin’s contact?
Wasn’t he Gavin’s rival?
The call connected.
Gavin frowned slightly when he saw Ryan’s enlarged face.
Sabrina grabbed the phone.
“Gavin, when do you wrap?”
“Tomorrow.”
He replied.
I hated that he replied.
Vanessa dragged me into frame.
I gave a professional fake smile.
“Hello, Gavin.”
The comments immediately noticed.
“Classic Ryan fan reaction to Gavin.”
“She looked at Ryan like a flower, at Gavin like customer service.”
Gavin smiled.
“Hello.”
When the call was ending, I said quietly,
“Goodbye, Gavin.”
Everyone else followed.
Then Gavin said,
“Lily Li.”
I looked up.
He stared through the screen.
“Goodbye.”
The live comments smelled blood.
I pretended not to.
