Chapter 1
His White Moonlight Came Back
750 words
The day after Tina Bai returned to the country was their high school reunion.
I heard Tina wanted to terminate her contract with her agency.
The penalty fee was so high she had to borrow money everywhere.
When Henry He entered the private room with his arm around me, Tina was in another man’s arms.
When she saw Henry, embarrassment flashed across her face.
She did not fear lowering herself.
She feared losing face before Henry.
Henry frowned but said nothing.
Someone began teasing.
“Tina, why don’t you beg your ex-boyfriend?”
“Exactly. President He is a movie king now. He owns several entertainment companies too. If you beg him, won’t you have endless work?”
Henry cleared his throat.
“I’m already married. Don’t say that. My wife will be angry.”
Tina lifted her eyes and looked at me.
The contempt in them was impossible to hide.
I said nothing.
Quietly, I replaced the wine in my hand with juice.
The man holding Tina suddenly smiled playfully.
“Tina, sleep with me for one night. I’ll give you two hundred thousand.”
Tina immediately sat up and shook her head.
Maybe she had drunk too much.
Her refusal looked half-hearted.
The man grew more excited and grabbed her wrist.
“You’re going whether you want to or not. Isn’t this what you do?”
Henry suddenly became furious.
Ignoring what he had just said about being married, he punched the man in the face.
“Tina already said no!”
Then, without caring how anyone reacted, he pulled Tina out of the room.
My face showed no expression.
The people around me, however, looked at me with pity.
The next day, the paparazzi contacted me while I was at the company handling a new talent contract.
“Miss Zhu, I only want five hundred thousand.”
“Give me five hundred thousand and the photo disappears forever.”
I laughed.
“Do you think I’ll keep cleaning up after him?”
In the two years I had been married to Henry, he had produced plenty of scandals.
I always handled them.
Every paparazzo knew that if they caught Henry’s dirt, they could come to me for money.
This time, when I did not agree, the person on the line sounded surprised.
“Miss Zhu, are you really not making this photo disappear?”
“Put it on trending as soon as possible.”
“Let his company remove it.”
I hung up.
Within five minutes, the internet collapsed.
The number one trending topic was their hotel scandal.
Yet the people at the center of the storm still lacked self-awareness.
Tina posted on social media.
A photo of their hands entwined.
Caption:
As always.
Insults instantly flooded her comments.
One minute later, Henry reposted it.
Always you.
My private messages exploded too.
“Sister-in-law, you didn’t divorce, right?”
I could not be bothered to read more.
I posted a photo of our marriage certificate.
Not divorced.
Netizens understood.
Tina’s comment section became even uglier.
The next day, Henry called me to handle the aftermath.
Perhaps afraid Tina would overthink, he brought her too.
As expected, she was not someone who knew peace.
The moment Henry left, her true nature appeared.
“Sister,” Tina said, “I drank too much last night and posted randomly. You won’t blame me, right?”
“After all, this position was originally mine.”
I suddenly smiled.
Then I raised my hand and slapped her.
The silver bracelet on my wrist had a sharp edge.
It cut her face.
Blood appeared instantly.
Tina did not accept loss.
She grabbed my head and hit me back.
I did not fight.
Because I saw Henry walking over.
Henry stopped before us.
He did not blame her.
Instead, when he saw the cut on her face, he slapped me.
My calmness frightened him.
“Tina… I… I just…”
I interrupted.
“No need to explain.”
“You just love her to the bone.”
“You’re afraid of losing her again.”
“Instead of worrying about me, you should handle your public image.”
“After all, soft-rice actor and mistress are not pleasant words.”
Tina leaned into his arms and said sweetly,
“I only wanted the ring you gave her.”
“After all, that was originally mine.”
Before they could reach for it, I threw the ring at Henry’s face.
“Trash belongs in trash hands.”
“It dirtied mine.”
The ring fell into Tina’s lap.
She tried to put it on her ring finger.
It was a few millimeters too small.
Her expression stiffened.
Then she threw it into the trash.
I turned and left.
I looked relieved.
But inside, bitterness still spread.
