Chapter 3
Green Tea Professor
919 words
In the parking lot, Felix trapped me between the car door and his body.
Like a large dog, he rubbed against my neck and whined.
“Yinyin, you really are starting to dislike me.”
“I’m not,” I said, patting his back. “I was thinking of your reputation. How will you teach later?”
“In my heart, you are the most beautiful. No one compares.”
Felix straightened slightly.
“Really? Then kiss me.”
Although we were in a parking lot and people might pass, to coax this vinegar jar, I sacrificed my face.
I stood on tiptoe and kissed his cheek quickly.
“Okay. Kissed. Don’t make trouble.”
He looked even more wronged.
He bit his lip and sniffed.
“You don’t love me anymore.”
“Last time you kissed me for three full minutes.”
“This time you’re just perfunctory.”
“You really don’t love me.”
I grabbed his collar and pulled his head down.
“You’re too tall. My neck hurts. Kiss like this.”
Then I kept that posture, holding his collar, and kissed him for five full minutes.
Until I was short of breath.
At some point, our positions changed.
I leaned on his chest, looking at Felix’s satisfied face while rubbing my swollen lips.
“Husband,” I said with deep feeling, “love you.”
Felix hugged me and turned back into a big dog, invisible tail flying.
“Love you too, wife.”
“Professor,” a voice sounded. “Didn’t you say you wouldn’t get married in the short term? Were you lying to me?”
I almost sprang out of Felix’s arms like a cannonball.
The campus belle had followed us to the parking lot.
Felix’s chest vibrated beneath my head.
“As a teacher, I don’t actually need to explain my private life to you.”
“But to avoid unnecessary misunderstanding, I’ll say a few things.”
“I am an adult man. I am responsible for my own decisions.”
“Whether I marry has nothing to do with you.”
“You are only my student.”
Then he took out items one by one.
“Our marriage certificates.”
“Our wedding photos.”
“My phone contact name for her.”
I stared at him in shock.
Two red marriage certificates.
A stack of wedding photos.
And the phone note:
Kiss-Kiss Wife.
I wanted to cover my forehead.
He really could not stay serious for more than one minute.
The campus belle seemed stunned by his performance.
After a while, she recovered.
“Then can I add Teacher’s Wife on WeChat? If I have questions, I can ask Professor through Teacher’s Wife.”
Felix clearly did not want to agree.
“I am only a guest professor. If you truly have academic questions, ask your full-time instructor.”
“And I have my own work.”
Seeing that she would not give up, I showed my QR code.
“My husband already said he is only a guest professor. Even if you ask, he may not reply. Don’t complain later that the professor is acting arrogant.”
The girl did not know whether to scan or not.
“Are you adding or not?” Felix asked. “If not, we’re going to eat.”
He had just stuffed me into the passenger seat when she stood beside the car again.
Her eyes shone as she looked at Felix.
“Professor, can I go with you? My driver has something to do.”
“Also, I get carsick.”
I blinked.
So sincere.
If I did not move, I would seem unreasonable.
I had just stepped out of the car when Felix threw something to her.
“If your driver can’t come, help me drive the car back.”
“Wife, let’s walk.”
He pulled me away without caring what expression she had.
“Professor, I didn’t mean—ah!”
The campus belle screamed and fell forward.
Felix only needed to reach out slightly to catch her.
Instead, he jumped a large step aside, avoiding her completely.
Although she had not touched him, he stretched out his hands and cried against me like something dirty had brushed him.
“Wuwuwu, wife, I’m no longer clean.”
“Will you abandon me?”
“What should I do?”
I glanced at the campus belle’s face, black as the bottom of a pot, and silently lit incense for her.
“It’s okay, it’s okay. She didn’t touch you. You’re not dirty at all.”
“You are the cleanest.”
“Really?”
“Really.”
Then his gaze fell on the campus belle holding my hand.
“Let go.”
She had not reacted.
Smack.
Felix slapped her hand away and pulled me into his arms, covering me tightly.
He looked at her with vigilance.
“Why were you holding her hand for so long?”
“What were you trying to do?”
She forced a smile.
“I wasn’t holding Teacher’s Wife, I was just—”
“Are you trying to steal my wife?”
“Otherwise why ask for contact and hold her hand?”
Felix was like a soldier guarding a city.
One second dignified.
The next ready to attack anyone near me.
“I warn you. My wife can only belong to me.”
“No one can steal her.”
I peeked out and watched the campus belle’s smile slowly transform into disbelief.
Like a fan watching an idol collapse.
Felix refused to let her go.
He turned to me seriously.
“Wife, am I right?”
I nodded firmly.
“Yes.”
Felix proudly took my hand.
“You heard her.”
“Stop thinking about it.”
“If you have nothing else, leave. I’m going to eat with my wife. I don’t want a third person around, or I won’t be able to eat.”
“Wife, let’s go.”
“Okay.”
I will never forget the look that campus belle gave me that day.
It seemed to say:
Is this really our professor?
Is he ill?
